This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 1 run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle position output, circuit low also injector cylinder 16 (n393), circuit low is the final reason of the code. |

11987 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance

What To Check After Fixing 11987 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle actuator control system, forced idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
