The problem is about linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, open circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake post catalyst fuel trim system, low limit and exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, signal too slowly is the final reason of the code. |
11961 Possible Causes:
11961 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 11961 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
