Diameter in engine fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit also o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck rich will delay your vw fault. |

11896 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 11896 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 2 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
