The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start radiator exhaust control 1, short-circuit after pluses and cylinder 5 injector, data incompatible is the final reason of the code. |

11861 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 11861 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
