118 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with vehicle speed signal, error message from instrument cluster the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust pressure sensor and exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, internal resistance too large is the final reason of the code. |
118 Possible Causes:
118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 118 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector control pressure sensor, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
