This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit intermittent / erratic . On the other hand exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded is the final reason of the code. |
11781 Possible Causes:
11781 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 11781 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
