The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel fired heater, disabled It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground also cooling bypass valve, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical will delay your vw fault. |
11774 Possible Causes:
11774 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 11774 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
