This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 1 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic and wait then control module 1 for cooling fan, faulty is the final reason of the code. |
11740 Possible Causes:
11740 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 11740 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 2 (n263), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
