The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor transmission request torque reduction, implausible and wait then evaporative emission system switching valve, stuck closed is the final reason of the code. |
11698 Possible Causes:
11698 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 11698 Code
- Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
