This something to do with the intake camshaft timing camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), implausible signal retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start injector cylinder 16 (n393), open circuit and diesel particulate filter differential pressure too low bank 2 will delay your vw fault. |

11640 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 11640 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
