Staring in engine control module 1 for cooling fan, faulty causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 1 you can see the mass-airflow sensor 3 (g456), signal to low is the final reason of the code. |
11638 Possible Causes:
11638 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 11638 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay for supply voltage terminal 30 (j317), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
