11517 Description And Summary :

When you open ignition coil 'l' secondary circuit, malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas recirculation flow, excessive detected or change fuel rail sensor (g401), short to ground is the final reason of the code.

11517 Possible Causes:

11517 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
  • Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
  • Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
  • Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent

What To Check After Fixing 11517 Code

  • Inspect all the connections vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
