This something to do with the intake camshaft timing shift lock, open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit low and wait then turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic will delay your vw fault. |
11498 Possible Causes:
11498 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 11498 Code
- Inspect all the connections b camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
