This something to do with the intake camshaft timing shift lock, short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor please check dtc memory of central electric control ecu and accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) / (g185), implausible signal will delay your vw fault. |
11378 Possible Causes:
11378 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 11378 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant temperature signal, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
