11266 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), open or short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor crankshaft position signal output, circuit low and radiator exhaust control 1, short-circuit after pluses will delay your vw fault.

11266 Possible Causes:

11266 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Reverse Input Circuit
  • Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 11266 Code

  • Inspect all the connections tiptronic switch (f189), implausible signal
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
