The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault injector cylinder 15 (n392), circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas recirculation cooling system, performance and o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean is the final reason of the code. |
11231 Possible Causes:
11231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 11231 Code
- Inspect all the connections potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), signal too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
