11231 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 1 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor relay 2 for power supply (b+)terminal 30, range/performance also valve for fuel bypass (n312), short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |
11231 Possible Causes:
11231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 11231 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, implausible message from brake controller
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
