When you open exhaust gas recirculation flow 2, insufficient detected retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), electrical malfunction and exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), high is the final reason of the code. |
11216 Possible Causes:
11216 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 11216 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pump "b", low flow / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
