11198 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles cylinder 4 above knock threshold and wait then ignition coil cylinder 13, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
11198 Possible Causes:
11198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 11198 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector control pressure, too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
