This something to do with the intake camshaft timing accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck on or change secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
11172 Possible Causes:
11172 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 11172 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), signal low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
