This code were stamped on VW Engine case control module defective retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start reset-resistant limp-mode active also outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
11118 Possible Causes:
11118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault

What To Check After Fixing 11118 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, upper stop not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
