11042 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine shift up/down wire, short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance or exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit is the final reason of the code. |
11042 Possible Causes:
11042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 11042 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for engine storage (n144/145), interruption / short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
