Accumulated in electronic control units so please check coding of ecus in data bus powertrain run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / pump current, short to ground also internal control module, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
11042 Possible Causes:
11042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 11042 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine oil temperature sensor (g8), circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
