10993 Description And Summary :

Staring in engine exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit high voltage and wait then a/c refrigerant distribution valve control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code.

10993 Possible Causes:

10993 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
  • Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High

What To Check After Fixing 10993 Code

  • Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
