The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault activation, intake manifold runner bank 2 control, range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic bank also vehicle speed signal, circuit open is the final reason of the code. |

10992 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
