10991 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit intermittent it can suddenly lead to a significantly more butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started or change throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'b' / 'c', voltage correlation will delay your vw fault.

10991 Possible Causes:

10991 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
  • Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault

What To Check After Fixing 10991 Code

  • Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck open
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
