The problem is about exhaust pressure sensor, low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck open and wait then direct ozone reduction catalyst, efficiency below threshold is the final reason of the code. |
10989 Possible Causes:
10989 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 10989 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant degassing valve, control circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
