Staring in engine 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), signal too small also rough road / engine torque signal from abs; electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |

10987 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders

- Inspect all the connections supply voltage for fuel injector group b, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
