10986 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 1, biased / stuck rich and wait then exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
10986 Possible Causes:
10986 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 10986 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of adr control module
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
