This something to do with the intake camshaft timing brake pressure switch (f270), implausible signal the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit of electrical errors or vehicle speed sensor 'a' / 'b', correlation is the final reason of the code. |
10985 Possible Causes:
10985 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 10985 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
