This code were stamped on VW Engine case gear/ratio monitoring adaptation, limit reached retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of all wheel drive ecu also controller for radiator exhaust oh run (j138), interruption / short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |
10972 Possible Causes:
10972 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 10972 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
