When you open valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to b+ . So for next vehicle speed signal, circuit open is the final reason of the code. |
10972 Possible Causes:
10972 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction

- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 10972 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
