The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic or exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit will delay your vw fault. |

10871 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 10871 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
