This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake generator shut-off, open or short to ground you can see the data bus powertrain, implausible message from control module battery monitoring will delay your vw fault. |
10838 Possible Causes:
10838 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 10838 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signals swapped bank 1 sensor 2 / bank 1 sensor 3
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
