10791 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing bank 2, system too rich at idle run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance you can see the post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit is the final reason of the code. |
10791 Possible Causes:
10791 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 10791 Code
- Inspect all the connections outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), open to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
