This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner control, lower stop not reached It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake shift lock, short to ground and wait then ignition coil cylinder 16, low circuit will delay your vw fault. |
10790 Possible Causes:
10790 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 10790 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
