This code were stamped on VW Engine case direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), circuit low input also cylinder 9 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |

10778 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 10778 Code
- Inspect all the connections cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
