This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 3 above knock threshold causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system data bus powertrain, missing message from control module electric parking brake and vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
10761 Possible Causes:
10761 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 10761 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
