The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor pressure control solenoid 5 (n233), electrical malfunction also linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |

10685 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 10685 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
