10638 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, electrical error in the electric circuit and valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
10638 Possible Causes:
10638 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 10638 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), circuit low input
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
