Accumulated in electronic control units so fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more glow plug indictor light (k29), malfunction message from instrument cluster or outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |

10638 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 10638 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
