This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake air heater "a", circuit open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption or change hydraulic pressure sensor 1, range / performance is the final reason of the code. |

10606 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders

- Inspect all the connections post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
