10540 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to ground to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so torque management feedback signal "b", range / performance or coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |

10540 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 10540 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
