This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission control unit relay, malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles intake air heater "a", circuit high and fuel injection valve 2 (n367), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
10518 Possible Causes:
10518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 10518 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger speed sensor, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
