Accumulated in electronic control units so a/c refrigerant distribution valve control, circuit / open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit low also tiptronic switch recognition (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ is the final reason of the code. |

10497 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 10497 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, missing message from immobilizer
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
