The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault load signal range / performance to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground or fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
10489 Possible Causes:
10489 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 10489 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pump circuit, electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
