10488 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, signal shorted to heater circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start torque management feedback signal "b", range / performance or intake manifold flap; bank 2, stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
10488 Possible Causes:
10488 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 10488 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
