10488 Description And Summary : |

Diameter in engine coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start vehicle speed signal, circuit open you can see the transmission coolant circuit relay, intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
10488 Possible Causes:
10488 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 10488 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed sensor 'b', circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
