Staring in engine transmission fluid temperature, exceeded multiple times retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground or change idle speed control throttle position 2, electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
10466 Possible Causes:
10466 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'g' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
