10461 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ignition coil 'l' secondary circuit, malfunction or secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed is the final reason of the code. |
10461 Possible Causes:
10461 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 10461 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 1 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
