10440 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit intermittent to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit high or change o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
10440 Possible Causes:
10440 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 10440 Code
- Inspect all the connections cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
