10401 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine ignition coil 'd' secondary circuit, malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more bank 1, system too rich at idle and butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started is the final reason of the code. |
10401 Possible Causes:
10401 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 10401 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift up/down wire, open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
