Staring in engine bank 2, system too lean off idle retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit also engine torque reduction, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
10398 Possible Causes:
10398 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 10398 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module 1 for cooling fan, short circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
