10397 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction you can see the fuel level sensor 2, circuit low voltage is the final reason of the code. |
10397 Possible Causes:
10397 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 10397 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
