The problem is about exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, missing message from clutch control . On the other hand linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
10374 Possible Causes:
10374 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses

What To Check After Fixing 10374 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 1, biased / stuck rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
